California Pizza Kitchen Add Plant Based Twist to Popular Pizza

CPK plant based chicken pizza

CPK – well known for their BBQ chicken pizza – are joining the plant-based movement with an all new “Don’t Call Me Chicken” Pizza that offers a plant-based version of the classic.

The new pizza (its veggie, not vegan) features BBQ sauce, smoked Gouda, red onions and fresh cilantro with a 100% plant-powered chicken substitute. The pizza is available at any of the CPK corporate-owned restaurants across the United States and Canada.

The announcement comes after several other menu innovations including being the first national restaurant to offer gluten-free crust in 2013 and the intro of the cauliflower crust in 2018.
