Next up with a healthy update – Chipotle. The fast-casual Mexican chain have two big updates for January – an all new Plant-Based Chorizo protein and three new Lifestyle Bowls.
The new Plant-Based Chorizo is available for a limited time with Chipotle writing the spicy meat is made using “all real, fresh ingredients grown on a farm, not in a lab.” Chipotle reckon the chorizo “has the deep, rich flavor and a slight kick that chorizo fans crave.” Expect chipotle pepper flavors with sweet tomato paste, garlic and smoky paprika. The plant-base seems to be pea protein which means the option is also gluten free and soy free. Chipotle state there’s 16 grams of protein per 4oz serving. The launch follows a couple of regional tests back in the late Summer of 2021.
