Chipotle debut Plant Based chorizo and Lifestyle Bowls

Next up with a healthy update – Chipotle. The fast-casual Mexican chain have two big updates for January – an all new Plant-Based Chorizo protein and three new Lifestyle Bowls.

The new Plant-Based Chorizo is available for a limited time with Chipotle writing the spicy meat is made using “all real, fresh ingredients grown on a farm, not in a lab.” Chipotle reckon the chorizo “has the deep, rich flavor and a slight kick that chorizo fans crave.” Expect chipotle pepper flavors with sweet tomato paste, garlic and smoky paprika. The plant-base seems to be pea protein which means the option is also gluten free and soy free. Chipotle state there’s 16 grams of protein per 4oz serving. The launch follows a couple of regional tests back in the late Summer of 2021.

Also new this month – there brand new Lifestyle Bowls to help guests make healthier dining choices as they take on their NY resolutions. The new bowls are as follows:

  • Whole30 Salad Bowl – Supergreens Lettuce Blend, Plant-Based Chorizo, Tomato Salsa, Fajita Veggies, Guacamole, $11.10 plant based chorizo, $10.10 chicken, $10.60 carnitas
  • Vegetarian Bowl – Supergreens Lettuce Blend, Pinto Beans, Plant-Based Chorizo, Tomato Salsa, Fajita Veggies, Cheese, $8.70 plant based chorizo, $7.70 guac only
  • Vegan Bowl – White Rice, Black Beans, Plant-Based Chorizo, Corn Salsa, Tomato Salsa, Shredded Romaine Lettuce, $7.70

It should be noted that the Lifestyle Bowls are available exclusively on the Chipotle app and Chipotle.com. Prices listed above from our closest location here in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Lastly – Chipotle are also supporting these new updates with a special $0 Delivery Fee Offer. This applies to Chorizo orders through January 9th and Lifestyle Bowl orders through January 31st. The offer is available when place through the app or website.
