Update: the 2020 McRib has now landed and we reviewed it here.
For some of us in fast food land, huge news today – the McRib is set to make a return on December 2nd 2020; more than that, the fan favorite menu item that blinks in and out of existence from time to time, will be available nation wide.
The rollout across the whole of the United States is the first for the saucy and tangy sandwich since way back in 2012. McDonald’s writes:
That’s right… for a limited time, McRib regulars and “first-timers” across the country can soon get in on the McRib magic with seasoned boneless pork slathered in smoky, tangy barbecue sauce, topped with slivered onions and tart pickles. It’s a combination so tantalizing it has longtime enthusiasts declaring, “I need it,” and the McRib-curious saying, “Why the heck not?”
While the BBQ sauced reshaped patty has apparently been an on and off menu item for nearly four decades, its been recent years where it has become a bigger and bigger fan favorite special. The sandwich first launchd in 1982 and according to the brand, only Germany has the sandwich on menu boards year round.
December 2nd guys, December 2nd.

I don’t mind admitting to a certain secret obsession with fast food as well – and that’s where Menu And Price comes in…
