Grab some while you can folks, because to celebrate 50 years in the business, Popeyes are bring back their delicious Cajun Rice side dish. Indeed there’s a lot going on with specials and promos, to mark the brand hitting the half century; in case you didnt, Popeyes was created in 1972 by Al Copeland in New Orleans.
The Cajun Rice (once apparently known as Rice Dressing) was 86’ed from menus in 2021 and has been sadly missed by many since. I’ll hold my own hand up and say I loved being able to order something other than greasy, deep free this or that for a side dish. Popeyes’ rice dish comes with a mix of “creole seasonings including bell pepper, onion, garlic, celery and cayenne”
At the Popeyes closest to us in Salt Lake City, the Cajun Rice dish is priced $2.69.
