Subway launch 12 new subs – what you need to know

In the largest menu update we’ve seen in fast food land for some time, today sees Subway debut TWELVE brand new subs. The all new “Subway Series” follows hot on the heels of the last year of updates to the menu titled the Eat Fresh Fresh.

The 12 new sandwiches are available on menus as of today (July 5th) and come in four categories: Cheesesteaks, Italianos, Chicken and Clubs. Lets look at each category and break down the dozen new offerings, their ingredients and prices. Each new Subway Series sandwich also comes with it’s own number too, presumably to make ordering a more streamlined process.

Subway Series Cheesesteaks

  • #1 The Philly – toasted sandwich with steak, 2x provolone, Artisan Italian bread, green peppers, red onions and mayo. $6.59 / $9.99 / $12.99
  • #2 The Outlaw – toasted sandwich with steak, 2x Pepper Jack cheese, green peppers, red onions, Baja Chipotle sauce, Artisan Italian bread. $6.59 / $9.99 / $12.99

To make the occasion which is the biggest in the chain’s near 60 year history, Subway are giving away one million subs on July 12th; from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. you can grab any of the Subway Series in 6-inch size for free.

According to industry press, in testing the new sandwiches, the new creations helped customers with the indecision problem of the traditional DIY sandwich process – with 50% of customers ordering the new options as that the Roasted Garlic Aioli, “is the only new SKU brought in to for the Subway Series.”
