Thrillist announces their annual best of fast food – Fasties

The scores are in. The 2021 edition of Thrillist’s Fasties are here with some eye opening results. The yearly attempt to name the best of the best in fast food ranks everything from French fries to chicken sandwiches. Highlights include:

  • Best breakfast – Chick-fil-A
  • Best chicken nuggets – Chick-fil-A: Nuggets
  • Best onion rings – Sonic Drive-In
  • Best fish sandwich – Popeyes: Cajun Flounder Sandwich
  • Best bacon cheeseburger – Burger King
  • Best plant based meat item – Quiznos: Plant Based Corned Beef 
  • Best soft serve ice cream – Sonic Drive-In: Vanilla Cone
  • Best value meal – Del Taco: Del’s Dollar Deals Menu
  • Best new menu item – Wendy’s: Maple Bacon Chicken Croissant
  • Best regional chain – Whataburger
  • Chain of the year – Wendy’s
  • Best cheeseburger – Shake Shack: ShackBurger Single
  • Best fried chicken sandwich – Zaxby’s: Zaxby’s Signature Sandwich 
  • Best fries – Five Guys
