Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Nuggets review

Wendy's Spicy Chicken Nuggets

With the recent launch of Wendy’s new Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich, I had a little bit of a chicken-pig out to see how all the various items stacked up. First up their Spicy Chicken Nuggets; after all what better than a side of chicken with um, a chicken sandwich!

It’d actually been quite some time since I’d snagged a regular old school nugget, and I instantly remembered why. These where the epitome of dry. Dry, dull and disappointing actually. I had hope some dipping sauce would have saved proceedings, but the restaurant forgot my sauce request in the order, adding insult to injury.

As you can see in the pictures above these are basic nuggets with a spongy interior. There’s no real plus points to talk about; indeed the nuggets had a slightly unpleasant aftertaste, I ended up throwing half away.

The spicy coating is very mild, I’m not sure I managed a single bead of sweat on my forehead. For me, these are hard pass.
